BRIEF BIO & INTERESTS
I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old. My family has always been the “soccer family” and I was always emersed in the game. I always enjoyed playing the game but by the time I was 8 years old I developed a passion for the game. I loved the idea of training and playing as often as I could, I was always driven to get be better. If that meant juggling the ball 10 times or juggling the ball 300 times consecutively, I was determined to do it. I began playing on a competitive club team when I was 10 years old and have been playing club soccer ever since.
Growing up I did play multiple sports, such as ice hockey and softball. My parents always encouraged me to play other sports and I learned that playing multiple sports allowed me to further develop as an athlete on the soccer field. Having a healthy balance of sports at a younger age always kept that “fire” burning to get out on the field and have the soccer ball at my feet. I never once felt burned out from playing and I think that is because I was playing multiple sports and had a steady balance.
Throughout middle school I began to really stand out on the field, though for me I always pushed myself to be just a little bit better every day. In middle school is when I really decided that playing at the collegiate level is what I wanted to do and I was going to have to put everything into the sport of soccer. I am still a 3-sport athlete but I play soccer year round and train year round for the game I love.
Due to my passion and my consistent drive to be better, I was named captain of my club team. Being a leader has always been important to me both on and off the field no matter the environment where I aspire to be the best person I can be, inspiring others along the way. I have worked hard for everything I have attained with my consistent determination and grit.
In the classroom, my competitiveness is just as consistent as it is on the field. I always strive to be the best person and student I can be. Academics are the foundation to my success for the future and I know how important academics are for my future. I currently have a 3.9 on a 4.0 scale as a freshman and look to push that GPA to a 4.0. I have recently been recognized for the national honor roll society for my academic performance.
I am looking to attend a school where I can not only further my knowledge and skills on the field but also in the classroom. I hope to attend a school with both elite academics and soccer while continuing to be a role model for my peers along the way.
